Random Ramblings...

I'm planning on growing my own vegetables on the balcony but as it's winter, I'm limited to what I can choose. The only things I can sow in October seem to be garlic, onions, broad beans, rocket, selected herbs and salad leaves. I think I'll start with garlic and onions for now. I want a little wormery too so that we can recycle our kitchen waste to make lovely compost for the soil to help them grow.
.
This week has been busy with work too. We hosted a party for one of clients on Wednesday and people just kept turning up! It was packed but was a really great night and overall was very successful.
.
The wedding DVD has also arrived. It needs some amendments though so I'm just waiting on the new copies. The wedding photographer hasn't replied to the letter I send over 3 weeks ago requesting a breakdown of costs so I have been advised to send a final letter requesting compensation. If he doesn't reply again then we'll have to take him to court.
.
I attended an antenatal class with Sharon on Wednesday day and thoroughly enjoyed it! I might even train to be an antenatal teacher in the future seeing as I could never be a midwife because I hate needles!!
.
I made a delicious trifle too but forgot to take a picture but trust me, it was good! I made a Madeira cake, sliced it and layered it on the bottom of the dish. I then spread it with raspberry jam and covered the jam with another layer of cake. Homemade custard was then poured on top followed by lashings of whipped cream. I just had to put some hundreds and thousands on even though Rick Stein says it's an adult trifle and that you shouldn't - I couldn't resist! I'll be making this agin so will post the recipe and pictures then!
.
I have also been set a challenge by Sueling and Ann-Marie to make some chilli chocolate biscuits so I have accepted and will try and knock some up this weekend if I get a chance.
.
Wahooo!! I won £75 on Bingo last night and also won £11.60 on the Euromillions – you have to be in it to win it!
